What is the Prayer Plan for Bettsville?

“For thus says the Lord: When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will visit you, and I will fulfill to you my promise and bring you back to this place. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile.” – Jeremiah 29:5-14 (ESV)

Five Ways to Pray For the Bettsville Community

1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to intervene in the Community.

In our community, most people are unchurched.

In whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit. – Ephesians 2:21-22 (ESV)

2. Pray for the Church to be active in the Bettsville Community.

Pray that the Church will boldly present Christ to the community.

Pray also for unity around this purpose within our local church.

I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment. – 1 Corinthians 1:10 (ESV)

3. Pray that Reflection Ministries pursues the Lost in the Bettsville Community.

Evangelism begins with a God-directed passion to love the lost into the Kingdom.

“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” – Luke 19:10 (ESV)

4. Pray that Reflection Ministries will continue to be biblically faithful in its evangelistic approach.

Evangelism is at the heart of God's mission

God doesn't cares so much how we win the lost, but that we do it.

Keep Jesus Christ at the core of Reflection Ministries in its mission.

And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” – Mark 16:15 (ESV)

5. Pray that Reflection Ministries will be the one God sends.

Pray that we, not someone else is sent by God on this mission.

And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.” – Isaiah 6:8 (ESV)

Who Are Praying For?

1. Pray for protection, respect and community support for our police force.

Pray for wisdom, justice and fairness to be practiced in law enforcement.

“I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone – for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” – 1 Timothy 2:1-2 (ESV)

2. Pray for protection, respect and community support for our first responders.

Pray for wisdom as they deal with crisis situations.

Pray for needed resources to be provided and for our community to be well protected.

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of Wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” – Proverbs 9:10 (ESV)

3. Pray for God’s presence in schools, teachers and administrators

Pray for a reverence for scripture to once again flood America’s classrooms.

“But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream.” – Amos 5:24 (ESV)

4. Pray for our city and county government leaders.

Ask God to grant them wisdom, discernment and hearts open to His leading.

Pray that believers would be faithful to lift up our officials and the decisions that will affect our future.

That biblical principles might prevail in the public square and throughout the halls of government.

Jesus said to them, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.” And they marveled at him.” – Mark 12:17 (ESV)

5. Pray for our Homes, Families, and Neighbors.

Pray for God’s blessings on families and friends in community.

“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.” – Romans 13:9b-10
